Tesoro translates to “treasure,” and Studio Tesoro exists to bring those treasures into everyday life.
Studio Tesoro was created to celebrate the beauty in pottery — the way clay can be both fragile and resilient, imperfect and enduring. Every piece is shaped by hand, influenced by nature, and made to be held, used, and lived with. No two are ever the same, and that’s the magic: each one becomes a little luxury, a keepsake, a treasure of its own.
We create in small batches using sustainable practices and natural materials, always honouring the life of the clay. Whether a piece finds you through gifting, travels, or your own hands at the table, it carries a story. Studio Tesoro believes in slow craft, subtle beauty, and objects that feel special — not because they’re rare, but because they’re meaningful.
The ethos
Behind the studio
Studio Tesoro was founded by ceramic artist Meaghan Onorato—artist, teacher, and lifelong curator of beautiful things.
Inspired by the warmth of southern Italy and its simple treasures, the name honours her late Nonna, who lovingly called her grandchildren “tesoro.” That sense of care and appreciation lives in every piece.
Meg discovered pottery in 2017, developing her skill while living in Australia and eventually building her studio in Southern Ontario. Her work is shaped by sun-soaked coastlines, earthen palettes, and the quiet ritual of making.
Proudly made in Canada
We design and assemble our kits, workshops, and creative experiences locally, with the same values we bring to our handmade practice: sustainability, patience, and quiet luxury. Inspiration may come from distant shores and our community is global, but our offerings are crafted close to home.

From the Earth,
to your home
—
Tesoro means “treasure,” and Studio Tesoro exists to bring small treasures into everyday life. Whether sourced from distant places, gifted by someone with love, or shaped by your own hands, no two pieces are ever alike. Each one is a treasure.
Community
Pottery is an ancient art, it’s been passed down for generations across the world and it calls for community. Create your own pieces, and fire them at a community kiln or get to know your local ceramicist.
Memories
Each piece holds a memory. Whether it’s made by Studio Tesoro, you, or a friend you haven’t met yet — clay is the medium, but the vessel or form it takes on is built from power and emotion.
